Requirement

Credit search facility and integration.

Project Overview

The customer provided loans to high-risk clients and needed quick access to credit scoring services to enable them to assess client exposure and credit worthiness. Their current system did not allow this function and from a technical standpoint was not suitable for modification. Investment in the existing system was too great to allow for development of a new system.
The challenge was to get their existing system working with another system without having to start from scratch but avoid ending up with fragmented workflow by introducing another process through a separate application.

Implementation

Using an existing online credit scoring Web based service, Smart IT provided a solution that allowed the customer to credit score loan applications from within their existing system, seamlessly accessing the credit scoring system.

Smart IT also provided complex transformation services to format raw data from the credit system into branded management quality reports viewable from within their existing system and also as documents viewable from within their Intranet.

We also provided data parsing tools to extract raw data from the credit score result and populate the existing database with up-to-date information provided by the credit agency rather than updating forms manually.

As well as working with the customer’s preferred credit scoring agency, the system also worked with all major agencies in a totally transparent manner to the user, allowing the customer to choose the most cost effective solution any time in the future.
